retail therapy

I really needed to get out yesterday after I picked sweet boy up from daycare. Our house was a mess and instead of going home to clean it, I went thrifting. I warned you I'm a PRO-crastinator. Or should I say PRO-craft-inator!! hahaha I crack myself up!

Ok anyway I went to Goodwill and it was slim pickins'. Our Goodwill's are way overpriced but I did mange to score this little gem. I didn't have a tag on it so I asked the cashier and she said I could have it for ONE DOLLAR! $1? HECK YEAH I'M TAKIN' IT!! I was planning on turning a dry erase board into a chore chart/schedule but I love that dry erase board way too much so that's what this Goodwill find will eventually be. I also just realized that the dry erase board was magnetic and that's what I needed for the chore chart. Crap, what am I gonna do now???

I went yard sale ing (yardsaling? yardsaling? both ways get underlined in red as I type them so I'm sticking to my own spaced out spelling) a few weekends ago and picked up this little shelf/ledge for $3.

I went to the thrift store yesterday as well. I found so many awesome things! Plus, they were having a 25% off sale!!! I paid $11 total for everything!

Here is a sweet little jewelry box I found. I love the details it has. I will spray paint and distress it.

A mini photo album. It doesn't have slots for photos so I think I'm going to make a brag book or a mini scrapbook.

Mason Jars and a vase. I'd like to mix water and acrylic paint and swirl it around in some of the jars like so many other crafters have done. Check this out!!!

I also found this chalk memo board thing. I plan to of course, spray paint it, cover up the bird house pictures, possibly repaint the chalkboard part depending on the shape it's in. I'm going to remove the scrolly black part at the top and make this a gift for one of the FOUR weddings I am attending this fall.
