It's Friday night. Before I became a mother I would be out painting the town on a Friday night. Out with my friends or my love, dinner and a movie, or going dancing...anything but staying in. Now my Friday night consist of Say Yes to the Dress, possibly grocery shopping, and crafting! Major change.
I saw these awesome painted glass bottles a few months ago. I fell in love. These were my inspiration.
I started out with these. Got them from the thrift store for 75 cents.
And ended up with these! I am sooo happy. I poured some acrylic paint into the bottom of each jar, swirled it around until the paint covered all of the inside, and voila! Beautiful vases! I mixed a few colors so they would range from bright to light, and just played with them until I liked the end result.
I love it! They look so fancy and girly and pretty!
I am a happy girl today. I want to make more!
Even my mom liked these, and she is not an easy woman to please. I guess that's where I get it from ;o).
I'm sooooo tired now. Cohen has woken up 4 times since I put him to bed at 8. Pray for a peaceful night.
