Baby shower gift

I went to my friend's baby shower this weekend. She is having a sweet baby girl. I didn't get a picture of her but she is 30 weeks pregnant and is seriously, TEENY TINY. Ugh it makes me sick jealous realize she has gestational diabetes and has to stay on a very strict diet to keep up her health. Anyway, the shower was awesome and I would have taken pictures except that I forgot my camera, Cohen was being a terror typical one year old little boy who is in his rebellious phase, and we didn't stay for very long. She got some AWESOME gifts. I just love baby girl stuff and I wanted to buy everything in the store but I'm pretty broke so I made her a few cute things. This plaque is one of them.

I bought the original wood piece from Goodwill for $2. I spray painted it Ballet slipper pink, applied the vinyl I got from Shelley Smith's vinyl business Wonderfully wordy, and the decoupaged the scrapbook paper to the wood with Mod Podge. Ahhhh isn't it so cute?!

I really wanted to keep it for myself! But I stopped being selfish and gave it to my friend. She loved it and it's already hanging in her daughter's nursery!!!

Way cute! I love doing projects, and wish I had a million hours a day to do them.

I was just going through the comments on my blog (which is seriously neglected lately) and realized you commented and asked me a question, and I feel so bad that I never answered you. I was outta town that week, and am guessing that I never got an e-mail notification, or more likely it is one of the VERY many unread in my inbox that I just skimmed through real quick.

Anyways, thanks for the sweet comments about Riley's nursery. And to answer your question, the chair in there is from Ikea. :o)

Once again, so sorry for not responding. I used to be so much better at this before the little guy came along. Hope you have a great week!
