Babies Don't Keep

This is my first week participating in Raw(e). It's a photography idea Sami at Sailor & Co. came up with. You take a picture according to that week's theme and you cannot under any circumstances edit it! Just link up and you're done!

This is my Raw(e) photo. This week's theme is: This week. I took this picture yesterday. I had a lot of housework to get finished yesterday but Cohen was pretty fussy and I decided we needed some fresh air. It hasn't been very warm lately; mostly rainy and gloomy. But it warmed up enough to play outside. He loves this car I bought him for his birthday. (BTW, I got it at a consignment sale for inly $25!) This picture really speaks to me. Cohen is growing up so fast. One day, he will be getting into his real car and drive off to live on his own. One day he won't need his mommy anymore. I hope I am raising him to be ready for that day, to be strong and independent. My baby won't keep for long. He will grow up and have to leave me to live his own life. But I have him for a little while longer, and I will make every moment count. I love you sweet boy.

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

How CUTE! Love your write up w/ the picture. My son (7) always says he's never moving out! My husband teases that we could be like that movie "Failure to Launch".

OH he is so precious! I didn't care for those cars when I was little - my feet always got stuck. Haha!
