Trying New Things

So lately I've been having some trouble feeding Cohen. I am still breastfeeding him however he is rapidly losing interest. I am trying my best to breastfeed him for one whole year and I am determined not to give up but he is not making it easy on me. As of lately he only BF's for breakfast when he wakes up in the morning. Also, when I try to feed him his baby food for lunch or dinner, he acts like I am torturing him. He cries and whines and does not enjoy feeding time at all. It's like he saying, "NO!!! Please let me starve!" I'm guessing it's his age and maybe wanting to become more independent. So today I let him try to feed himself. This is the result.

How old is he now? Howston went through phases (as they say all babies do) where they don't want to eat as much. This may be a low in his growth spurts. I have also knowmn of woman whos choldren become uninterested in BF. They will wheen themselves off of it even before one year of age. I hope this helps. I know we are all just moms trying to raise kids in this crazy world. (ps. sorry for any misspellings)

He is nine months. Today was a good day for feeding. He was so tired the first time I tried to feed him and he actually fell asleep as i was putting the spoon in his mouth! lol it was pretty cute. I've asked other moms also and they pretty much said the same thing about babies going through phases. I would love for him to truly be able to feed himself but he kinda just likes to mush the food between his fingers and then pick the bowl up and dump it out so I decided not to try that again for a while. Thanks for the info and dont worry about any misspellings!
